Virus is transmitted to other vulnerable people through that person’s network.
Those who are shielding are asked not to attend. (NB For those in this position we’ll reach them in other ways, e.g. online lessons)
Anyone with Covid-19 symptoms asked not to attend – or if presenting symptoms asked to leave immediately & advised to call 111 to arrange a test. (Emergency contact to be contacted immediately for under 18s)
Full compliance with Serco Test and Trace service. Attendance and contact records kept for minimum of 21 days to fully assist.
All students asked to immediately report Covid-19 symptoms as per Govt guidelines
Clear rules relayed to all students and tutors:
Face coverings must be worn in communal areas on arrival and departure (unless exempt – please let us know).
Arrival times staggered to reduce crowding / meeting in communal areas – please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your lesson time.
Singing to be taught in larger live room (studio 1) with ventilation.
Minimum 10 minutes between each lesson to allow for ventilation and cleaning.
Observe 2m minimum distance wherever possible.
Drop-off/pick-up – parents/guardians will not be allowed to wait in the studio during Covid-19. Please drop off at the door.
Clear signage and friendly reminders to wash hands and keep distance.
Surface transmission of Covid-19
Clear rules relayed to all students and tutors:
Deep clean every day.
All communal touch points cleaned regularly throughout the day.
Studio touch points to be cleaned between every lesson.
Wash hands before entering studio.
Hand sanitising stations available throughout the studio.
All instruments / microphones to be sanitised between each lesson.
No food/drink to be provided, please bring own water bottles.
Transmission of Covid-19
through public transport
Recommend walking / cycling / private cars where possible
Encourage face coverings for use on public transport
Student or tutor displays Covid-19 symptoms
Risk of transmission to others.
Students to immediately report symptoms, positive tests or contact with someone who has Covid-19 to their tutor – and self-isolate as per govt guidelines at the time.
Report to (and work with) Test and Trace system.
Studio to follow all recommendations from Test and Trace and inform all relevant parties.
Lessons to temporarily move online for any self-isolating (but otherwise well) students, and those affected by any temporary closures.
Covid-19 infection rate rises / Local or national lockdown
Increased risk of transmission.
Students unable to attend lessons at the studio.
In the event of a full lockdown, lessons will move online maintaining original timetable wherever possible.
Students to be contacted at earliest possible opportunity if this needs to happen.
Studio staff to keep fully updated on government guidelines, making and communicated any changes in a timely fashion.
